I'm glad that you added a bit of an effect in the eyes to help the viewer track the alterations that are at work, otherwise the spinning image might feel unengaged. In that there is one main illusion at work here, it would be nice if: 1) the rotation of the image resolved all the way around rather than getting to a location and jumping to the other, and 2) if your aspect ration were changed in order to contain the entire landscape-oriented composition in view for the whole rotation. The framing of the left and right edges, as they crop the the image each rotation, seem unintentional to the overall look and style of the GIF, and changing the aspect ration might just simplify that element for the viewer.
