So cool to see an old picture thrown into the mix! I assume this is you, such a nice idea. The color adjustment here is probably the creative choice that is the most integrated into the source image, and the most sensitive to the possibilities of altering an original reality. The change of color in the dress, in that it does not seem to drastically affect the rest of the image, feels content specific, as opposed to a filter or mask over the whole image. This nice sensitivity makes your GIF feel more investigatory and surgical. That said, there could be more alterations that engage the photographic reality of the source image, but the brush or pen tool lines help to remind us of the graphic, design-like nature of the image.
